Chocolaterie Bernard Callebaut Celebrates the Royal Tour with special handcrafted chocolate items to commemorate visit by the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

Chocolaterie Bernard Callebaut is offering Calgarians a delicious way to celebrate the Royal Tour.  This July, the company unveiled two special chocolate molded items that commemorate the Calgary visit of William and Catherine, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.  The chocolate cowboy hat and horseshoe come individually wrapped in commemorative packaging, celebrating the Royal Couple and their heritage.  An image of Lily of the Valley, placed prominently on the packaging, is the same flower personally selected for the Duchess' wedding bouquet, while the horseshoe is commonly used as a symbol of good luck throughout England.

"We wanted to do something very special to celebrate the Royal Visit," said Chocolaterie Bernard Callebaut President Brian Beck.  "This is a fun and sweet way that all Calgarians can salute the Duke and Duchess," added Beck.

The iconic Calgary cowboy hat is available in milk, semi-sweet or white chocolate, while the horseshoe is available in either milk or semi-sweet.  The products are all handmade and packaged in the local factory, located at 1313 1st Street SE, using the company's own special chocolate blends of its world famous chocolate.  Each features the famous "balcony kiss" on the package, designed to be used as a bookmark should the chocolate mysteriously disappear.

The commemorative chocolates will be available at all Calgary and Banff stores for a limited time only beginning Thursday, July 7.  These items sell for $4.50 each.
